Despair

As a social worker, I wanted this photograph to capture the despair and vulnerability of the clients that I work with. Being naked lying in a foetal position on the floorboards, I believe represents the pain, rawness and fragility of many of my clients’ lives. My face is covered by my hands as if crying, but also practically, for confidentiality purposes, as I continue to practice as a social worker. And finally, from my ‘layman’s’ perspective, all I can see and worry about is how flabby my tummy looks of course!
